The Groton School Library has as its mission the dissemination of knowledge among the members of the Groton School community. Designed with the purpose of providing a comfortable place of contemplation and study, the Library has numerous study carrels, private study rooms with whiteboards and network links, as well as many comfortable chairs and sofas. In addition to its physical amenities, the Library has enjoyed the support of numerous bequests and endowments that allow it to develop its extensive holdings of more than 60,000 volumes on the shelves. The Groton School Archive, administered by Doug Brown, also has its home in the Library, and has been used by scholars from inside and outside the school community. The Library staff welcomes all inquiries and looks forward to providing the best service to all its users.
